   <description><![CDATA[<strong><span style="font-size: 18px;"><span style="color: red">FOS Mileage Club News</span></span></strong><br /><br />All Folks On Spokes members are invited to participate in the FOS Mileage Club.&nbsp;&nbsp;It’s a great way to keep track of your own bicycling progress over the course of a cycling season, and to compare progress from one season to the next.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br /><br />The season runs from November 1 thru Oct 31.&nbsp;&nbsp;The Mileage Club tracks season to date totals for five items; <br /><br /><ul><li>Club miles are miles that you ride on any Folks On Spokes published, scheduled ride.&nbsp;&nbsp;The ride has to be advertised in this forum or published in The Spokin' Word.&nbsp;&nbsp; Rides with other clubs do not count as club miles. <br /><br /></li><li> Club rides are just the number of club rides you attend.<br /><br /></li><li>Commuter Miles are miles that you ride on your bike instead of using the car. <br /><br /></li><li>Commuter trips are the number of trips you make on your bike instead of using the car.<br /> <br /></li><li>Total miles are all the miles that you ride for any reason at any time, including club miles and commuter miles. <br /><br /></li><li>Do not include stationary miles in the mileage totals. The bike has be going somewhere for the miles to count.<br /></li></ul><br />The season-to-date totals are published in the FOS newsletter, The Spokin’ Word.&nbsp;&nbsp;Year end history can be seen at this link <br /><a href="http://www.folksonspokes.com/mileclub.html">http://www.folksonspokes.com/mileclub.html</a><br />on the FOS web site. <br /><br />Mileage can be reported in person at the monthly Folks On Spokes club meeting, <br />by e-mail to fosmiles@customized-applications.com&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<br />by regular mail to&nbsp;&nbsp;FOS Miles&nbsp;&nbsp;/&nbsp;&nbsp;836 N.
