Think Snow!

By AI Sturges

FOS cross-country ski trips will be held on an if-snow basis on Sundays in December, January and February. Notices will be via e-mail and/or phone, so let me know if you want to be on the contact list ( 708-481-3429 or alsturges@sbcglobal.net). An e-mail notice has been sent to those on the list from last year. If you were on the list. but didn't get the notice, please let me know.

For the Sunday outings, we'll search out the best closest place with snow. In past years, we visited the Ly-co-ke-wi Trail at the Indiana Lakeshore, Waterfall Glen, Goodenow Grove. Governors State University, Camp Sagawau, Thorn Creek woods, Monee Reservoir. tbe Woodruff Golf Course (next to Pilcher Park), Deer Grove in Palatine, Love Creek in Berrian Springs, MI,. and even Lapham Peak, WI.

We'll also ski on some Wednesday evenings at 7:00 around the Nathan Manilow Sculpture Park at Governors State University. Eating afterward is part of the program. We'll try to decide the Sunday trip details by the Friday before and send out notices by e-mail. Again, let me know if you want to be on the contact list
