Return to Hikes

When biking season is over, it's time to get out the hiking boots, and skis and hit the trails.  Here's a sample of the fun we have on our Folks on Spokes hikes.

and along the National Dunes lakeshore.

Lake Michigan shoreline.

On Folks on Spokes Hikes, sometimes you just don't know where you'll end up.

Starved Rock Hike

Here are a few pictures from our January 12, 2003 FOS Starved Rock Walk.

Notice the absence of ice in the canyons. Instead of mud snow & ice on the trails and in the canyons, all that is there is dust!

It was a fun day of hiking, socializing, eating, and, the afternoon walkers were treated by having two eagles fly by.
