40 years sponsoring one of Chicagoland's premier invitationals

Mail in registrations must be received by June 1
Online  registration ends June 1. 

Day of registration allowed: Cash and check only.
(Credit cards cannot be accepted on the day of ride registration).


 

Registration opens from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Please plan to pick up your rider packets and t-shirts by 10:00 a.m. If you plan on riding the longer routes, we ask that you start before 8:00 a.m. Sag support ends at 3:30 p.m.

Spring Fling Fees:

*Discount for new members only  ($3 off regular membership fee of $15 single/$25 family

*All riders aged seventeen and under must be accompanied and supervised by an adult throughout the ride.

*T-shirt payment mail-in only.  Orders received after 5-23 may not be available the day of the ride. Those t-shirts will be mailed out when available.

Your Fee Entitles You To:

*Map of three cloverleaf routes (18, 19, and 44 miles) from Monee Reservoir which can be combined to give a metric century.   
An additional 8 mile optional loop from the dog park (Plum Valley Preserve in Crete, IL) to challenge Bemes Hill.
Access to all rest stops with fruit, drinks, sandwiches, and homemade cookies.

Live entertainment at rest stop
$3.00 off membership for new members
After ride tour, music, relaxation, food and beverages at the south end of the Reservoir which is reserved for our use.

*Maps with cue sheets and maps with gps route will be available day of ride.

This ride takes place regardless of weather.   

The success of this invitational ride enables our Club to make generous donations to the League of American Bicyclists, Ride Illinois, Active Transportation Alliance, and others


Safety Guidelines:

Your safety is important to us. Please obey all traffic laws, practice courtesy, communicate with fellow riders, ride single file when vehicles are approaching from either direction – and complete the adult or child bike safety quiz at www.bikesafetyquiz.com

All riders are required to wear a helmet approved by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

 

Masks are required at registration, SAG rides, and rest stops. Please mask if you are riding within 6 feet of a rider not in your personal pod.

Directions from the northeast:

Take 57 South to Monee-Manhattan exit. Then west on Monee-Manhattan road to S. Ridgeland. Go south of S. Ridgeland to Pauling. East on Pauling to cross 57. Resume going south on S. Ridgeland. Reservoir entrance is on the left. Once on the reservoir road, turn right to Catfish Shelter.
Directions from the northwest:

Take 80 east to 57 South. Take 57 south to Monee-Manhattan exit. Then west on MoneeManhattan road to S. Ridgeland. Go south of S. Ridgeland to Pauling. East on Pauling to cross 57. Resume going south on S. Ridgeland. Reservoir entrance is on the left. Once on the reservoir road, turn right to Catfish Shelter.
